Who Are You?

It seems like a simple question, but when you dive deep into it…well…it sucks.

However, it’s a question that you need to ask yourself.


Because you can’t grow a business successfully unless you know who you are. For the longest time I thought I was the hard-working individual that wasn’t scared to try anything.

But I asked myself this question and realized that while I sat at the computer a ton, I didn’t do much work. When I saw there was a chance to improve my business, but it involved doing something new I would run away from it.

And thing is I didn’t think I was running away. I just thought I was spending time making sure that I knew what I was doing.

In other words, I was full of shit. And we know that doesn’t get you anywhere.

Every time I look at my life and I realize I’m not excelling at a part of it that I want to be I simply ask myself who am I?

But that’s not the only question I ask. I also follow it up with who do you want to be?

These are two very important questions to ask because when you can see the difference between them, then you’ll figure out what you need to work on to get better.

It’s not easy because sometimes you have to admit that you’ve been cheating yourself.

It’s not that you suck or that you’re a failure. That’s never the case.

It’s the fact that you’ve cheated yourself of your full potential because you thought you were someone you weren’t.

You are who you are now because of the actions you’ve taken. To be the person you want to be you need to take different actions but that’s hard to do if you don’t know who you are and who you want to be.

So ask yourself those two questions and see what you come up with.
