What Do You Stand For?

When you have a business you want to make as much money as possible.

But there is a point that separates two groups:

  1. This group will make money no matter what. The only goal is to make more money.
  2. This group has a line in the sand. There are things that they won’t do just for the sake of money.

I like to believe that everyone stands for something.

That means your business should stand for something as well.

This can be a tough pill to swallow for some people because they want to be neutral in all things so that they can increase the amount of money that they make.

However, we live in a world where people expect you to take a stand or they at least want to see where you stand. Having the luxury of staying silent on things or letting things slide isn’t a neutral stance anymore.

And that’s fine by me.

Your business represents you so you need to own what it stands for whether you believe it will increase or decrease your revenue.
