How to Make $100 a Day Online in 6 Steps

$100 a day is a big milestone.

I can’t give you any specific reason besides the fact it’s a nice round number and it’s all about the Benjamins.

So when you start making $100 a day you should be proud because most people can’t even make $1.

But you’re not here for a pep talk. You’re here to learn how to make $100 a day online.

Now, I very well could turn this into a book by going through the different ways to accomplish this, but instead what I’m going to do is walk you through how I would do it if I were starting from scratch.

Please understand that I have no intention of talking about paid surveys, website testing, freelancing, or anything like that.

Those are definitely ways to make $100 a day but I’m looking for a way that scales without taking up all of my time.

Got it?

How to Make $100 a Day: The Gameplan

I guess we should discuss our business model. I specialized in teaching people how to create information products to sell online so it only makes sense that is what I stick with.

These can be books, printable, workshops, courses, or whatever else comes to mind.

It’s important to keep in mind that the actual format of the offer doesn’t matter.

The reason why I’m going with an info product is because I get to control almost all of the money and the experience.

If end up creating a product and selling it for $100 then I only need to get one person a day to buy it.

Or maybe it’s a $20 offer.

Either way, almost all of that money, minus credit card processing fees, is mine and I’ll get it right away.

With that out of the way are you ready to begin?

Step 1. Find My Interests

It’s important that you know that I’m a selfish person about my life. I want to enjoy what I’m doing and if I’m not then I’ll usually bail.

Don’t get me wrong, I can tolerate things for a bit if I don’t like them, but I don’t want to make them my life.

So for this reason I’m going to lists out my interests. These have to be things that I’d have no problem talking about for YEARS.

It doesn’t mean I have any knowledge or experience with this interest. It just means that it’s not going to be something that is short-term.

For the sake of this post, let’s come up with an example.

I love plants. I have them everywhere in my house and I feel like I could talk about them to anyone for whatever length of time.

So I’m going to list that as my interest and use it for the rest of this post.

Step 2. Research the Problems

What does this mean?

It means that once I pick my interest, in this case houseplants, I’m going to do a ton of research to see what problems people have with them and what are their aspirations.

Why?

Because this is where you get to unlock your offers.

This helps you see what people are willing to pay for.

I’m not talking about creating a product that shows them the top 10 houseplants that don’t need much light. I can keep that stuff for a blog post.

I’m talking about how to build a living wall in your bedroom or creating an indoor succulent garden.

Sure these could be blog posts as well but I could probably go deeper with an offer.

Sorry, I haven’t done any research on this so those are my examples.

Whatever you choose as your offer it’s important to understand that people only buy one thing and that’s improvement.

You have to show them that your offer is going to improve their lives in some way, otherwise there is no point to it.

Step 3. Create the Sales Page

I’m not going to go into the technology options for this but whatever platform I decided to use to sell the offer, I would create a sales page.

Why would I do this before creating the offer?

The sales page can help me get a better idea of what I’m creating. If I create a sales page and the offer doesn’t feel helpful enough then I know I need to add more to the offer.

If it sounds like it is all over the place then I know I need to tighten it up.

Step 4. Outline & Create the Offer

I wouldn’t try to start with a mega-offer unless I had all of the time in the world.

I’d create something that would probably take me a week. This would be what we call a Pocket Offer.

However, I’d make sure that I created an offer that I could sell for $19 – $49. For the sake of this post let’s go with $39.

That means I need to sell 3 per day to hit my $100 a day goal.

Step 5. Create a Promotion Plan

This is where things can vary depending on what you want to do.

If you want to blog then you would write blog posts around the offer’s topic and lead people to the sales page.

Note: For those of you with experience in these things you might be wondering about building a mailing list and we always encourage that, but I didn’t want to get too lost in the weeds for this post.

If you want to do YouTube then you’d add the link to the sales page in the description.

Same with your social media bios.

Step 6. Plant Flags

From here you need to start planting flags everywhere.

What does that mean? It means you go around the Internet providing value.

It might be blog posts, YouTube videos, Instagram photos, Facebook Group comments, Quora answers, or Reddit discussions.

You’re not going around the Internet saying “buy my product.” You’re going around helping people so they can’t help but want to learn more about you.

You do this enough you’ll have people coming to your site wanting your offer because you’ve spent so much time selflessly helping them.

Scaling

As you can see with this plan the idea isn’t to get to $100 and stop. The goal is to continue to scale that revenue so you no longer have to search for articles on how to make $100 day.

You could improve this plan with email marketing and building a list, but that’s for another post.

If you want to see the full philosophy behind this gameplan then be sure to check out the Pocket Business Handbook.
